YMMV / Once Upon a Time S2 E16 "The Miller's Daughter"

Go To

  • Harsher in Hindsight: Seeing Rose McGowan being treated as a pariah and rising through the ranks to become powerful is eerily similar to what happened in real life shortly after. She had been blacklisted from Hollywood after pissing off Harvey Weinstein - and in 2017 would publicly expose all her tormentors.
  • Heartwarming in Hindsight: Cora's dying words imply that if she had kept her heart within her, love for Regina would have redeemed her. She is redeemed in death in Season 5, apologises to her daughters and is rewarded with a good afterlife.
  • Never Live It Down: Snow is often attacked for Wangst over killing Cora and regretting it. People often miss the fact that she doesn't necessarily regret killing Cora, but the fact that she tricked Regina into killing her.
  • Rewatch Bonus: Eva's line, "The peasant fell, as they do", seems petty and gratuitous until you watch Bleeding Through and you know she and Cora shared a history.
