• Ass Pull: The sudden revelation two-thirds into the movie that Anne is working with the FBI, and the subsequent turn into a Thriller is almost comically contrived, like the filmmakers realized that, once Denise finds out for certain that Anne is the robber, the story seemed like it was locked into some sort of Downer Ending (Denise can either turn her own mother in to the authorities, ignore her mother's crimes, or be forced to live with the shame of a criminal mother, and there's still Quinlan as a threat), unless they pulled a major Halfway Plot Switch. Anne being a fairly likable character also probably played into it as well.
