• Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: June is dragged off to be fed to the giant spider puppet and then...another cheesy dance number!
• Special Effects Failure: The rocketship cabin looks even cheaper than Cat-Women, with a pegboard-lined hatch. The rocket changes its appearance several times. The moon explorers walk against badly-painted flats, when they're not walking in daylight in Bronson Canyon and calling it nighttime.
• Stock Footage Failure: Someone should have made sure the model rocket was painted the same as the V2 rocket used in the Stock Footage of the lift-off.
• Values Dissonance: Gary's attempted rape (or at the very least, sexual assault) of June is treated as a bad thing, sure, but not as the Moral Event Horizon it would be seen as today. Granted, they have a couple urgent crises to deal with immediately after the event, but even when things calm down, it isn't brought up. It's not even clear if Steve and Lon know what happened. Everyone, including June, continues to treat Gary with the same faint contempt they had from the beginning
