• Germans Love David Hasselhoff: Boléro is one of the most beloved Classical Music pieces in America, even among people who don't really care for Classical Music in general. Credit for popularizing it usually goes to conductor Arturo Toscanini, who featured it constantly in his radio concerts with the NBC Orchestra in The '30s. Ironically, Ravel didn't like Toscanini's arrangement of it, feeling that Toscanini sped the tempo up too much.
