  • Cargo Ship: "500 (Shake Baby Shake)" is basically an Anti-Love Song about a car that keeps preventing the protagonist from being with her love.
  • Nightmare Fuel: "Kiss Chase" and "For Love" are both this and a Tear Jerker when you know the context for the lyrics: Miki being molested by her Hungarian Nazi grandmother as a child. She also found out as an adult that her grandmother had also molested her father, and that her father left young Miki with her grandmother because Miki was a girl and he thought she'd be safe.
  • Spiritual Successor: Piroshka, Miki's band with her partner Moose. Emma's solo debut "Pearlies" is also very reminiscent of Lush's earlier shoegaze material.
  • Tear Jerker: As well as the above songs, there's also "When I Die", written about the death of Emma's father. Miki's memoir, Fingers Crossed, also has its moments, especially when she talks about Chris's suicide and how it broke the band up, because they couldn't bear to carry on without him.
