• Jerkass Woobie: Zig-zagged. At first, Peggy threatening to spank the students if they disrespect her does sort of make us want to root for her, especially since a lot of the students, especially Dooley, keep disrespecting her in the episode's first-half. Even her jackass father-in-law Cotton shows her pity! But she goes mad with power in the second-half, thus making us want her to be stopped.
• Values Dissonance: With sexual harassment being taken more seriously in the decades since this episode aired, Stuart Dooley would have likely gotten expelled for pulling Peggy's pants down, though Peggy would have garnered even less sympathy for spanking him.
