YMMV / Just Another Night at Freddy's

• Hilarious in Hindsight: A great deal of what happens in What Came Before (not the backstory) is a result of the Murderer altering 'our' Fazbear crew. They get altered into their FNaF 2 versions due to, essentially, forced disassembly by the Murderer. FNaF 3 revealed that the Murderer went back to the FNaF 1 pizzaria after it closed and...disassembled the animatronics! DeltaV was eerily prophetic, there...
• The Woobie: Foxy has not been allowed to perform ever since Pirate's Cove got shut down after the Bite of '87, and has been deprived of his greatest joy, the ability to make children happy, for over a decade. Even though he can have a bit of a temper at times, you can't help but feel sorry for him. and that's not even getting into what happens to him in Competition.
  • The Toy Animatronics could count for this too as of chapter two of For The Fans. It was revealed in What Came Before that they were abandoned rather than scrapped after their pizzeria closed down. Ever since, nobody has come to see them or be entertained by them. As a result, they're scared that they're being forgotten and unloved. Marion is basically the only one who is making them feel wanted.
• Tear Jerker: Another Night at Fazbear's Fright takes a page from canon and reveals that despite all of the hardships, character development of the Fazbear gang, and hardwork the gang put in to gain more customers Freddy's was still forced to shut down and the gang was unfortunately scrapped. Instead of the restaurant being remembered for the good it was instead turned into a local horror legend. A much older Mike shows up at Fazbear's Fright's opening absolutely furious at the sheer existence of Fazbear Fright and tears into the owner about how much hard work they (the animatronics, himself, and his boss) put into the restaurant and how much more this ruins their legacy. On top of all that it's implied the Fazbear gang are stuck hanging around the restaurant as there Phantom and Shadow counterparts. The only plus side in this endeavor is that it turns out Springtrap here is surprisingly kind (despite the fact that he still was found with a corpse jammed into him) and views the new security guard as a best friend of sorts. He is even very hesitant to scare kids!
  • There is a literal in-universe one with a much older Mike. After getting very upset about Fazbear's Fright Mike goes to a quite old styled cafe to reminisce on memories over the gang. He did get higher jobs in a grocery store, and expensive chain restaurants after Freddy Fazbear's shutdown but he still after thirty years is rather hurt about what happened to the gang and misses the old days with them. Springtrap like his old friends just so happens to be wandering out in the open right in front of the Cafe. Mike admittedly goes out to look up close and sees that....Springtrap looks to be a another Fazbear animatronic with a sentient AI like his friends who just so happens to look like Bonnie and be a bit mute. He then breaks into a tearful smile and immediately tries to help Springtrap....
