YMMV / Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol

• Nightmare Fuel:
  • In Hell, people who were fixated on one thing in life can be turned into a distorted version of that thing. A woman who fancied jewels has her jewelry grow and drip from her body, fused through painful sores. It's implied Marley will be turned into money.
  • Marley's personal hell is a room where everyone laughs and screams at him. He cracks within minutes.
• Tear Jerker:
  • The entire Ghost of Christmas Present scene, as both Scrooge and Marley realize what they'd missed out on every year. Marley in particular is moved by the golden threads of light that connect everyone together through love, and is deeply ashamed he'd never cared to notice it before. Later, after Ignorance and Want do their part the Ghost comforts them both and takes them up to the stars.
  • The climax has Marley sacrificing himself to give Scrooge a second chance at life.
