- Cult Classic: This game wasn't a hot seller, due to being bundled with a Tony Hawk game when the series was deep in its Audience-Alienating Era, but it's regarded fondly by the people who've played it.
- Just Here for Godzilla: Tony Hawk's Motion is meant to be the main course, but its paucity of content (only four very barebones levels, uninspired goals, and absence of the series' signature licensed soundtracks) and awkward motion controls (that rely on a peripheral inserted into the DS's GBA cartridge slot, meaning you can't play it on a DSi), lead most players to skip over it in favor of this game.
- Sidetracked by the Gold Saucer: This can become the case if you play this out of curiosity after growing weary of the Tony Hawk game it comes with.
