• Anti-Climax Boss: The Crabfeeder, whose confrontation with Daemon isn't even shown and is Killed Offscreen.
• Arc Fatigue: Viserys continues to be a weak king and the friction with his daughter arguably makes for repetitive drama.
• Special Effects Failure: One shot of King Viserys handing a scroll to a guard did not initially digitally remove the fingers the character is supposed to be missing, leaving Paddy Considine's corresponding fingers still visible in the shot, covered in green chroma key material.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: The Crabfeeder is killed off screen, only 3 episodes in, after building up his mystique and threat level.
