YMMV / House of Bloo's

Go To

  • Alternative Character Interpretation: Is Eduardo pouting while looking away from Mojo Jojo because he's "unimaginative", or because he's the Big Bad of The Powerpuff Girls?
  • Fanon Discontinuity: To a lesser extent than other examples from Foster's, but there are some fans that won't accept anything past the pilot movie.
  • Moral Event Horizon: Duchess in the pilot, where she tries to have Bloo killed for ruining her adoption.
  • One-Scene Wonder: Mojo Jojo makes a cameo in the pilot as an imaginary friend created by a kid who just copied him from TV.
  • Strawman Has a Point: While Mac's mom forcing him to get rid of Bloo was somewhat of a rash move, given the fact that imaginary friends have sentience in this universe, her line of thinking actually makes sense. Children Mac's age acting kiddy makes them easy bullying targets in real life.
  • The Woobie:
    • Poor Mac. He's forced to give up his imaginary friend - and in more better terms his genuinely great older brother'' - because his mom thinks he is "too old" for him, his brother is shown to be a complete bully as in the show and at one point is locked in a closet by Terrence, which he could have been stuck in for hours.
    • Bloo's also in this position too. He's used as a scapegoat for Terrence bullying Mac, is shown at low moments multiple times, and in the third act has him ALMOST BE EATEN ALIVE by Duchess over a petty reason that wasn't his fault.
