YMMV / Hello, Stranger: The Movie

• Sacred Cow: Just like the preceding series, this film is already being held up as one of the best — if not downright the best — that Asia's otherwise controversial "BL" ("Boys' Love") genre has to offer, thanks to its consistently heartfelt and nuanced depictions of gay and bi male characters. (The most common criticism against BL is that its media often treats queer men as a mere Fetish.)
• Ship Mates: For obvious reasons^note i.e. keeping the Official Couple together but leaving no member of the beloved original six friends alone without a Love Interest of their own, most fans are on board for this set of couples:

  • the Beta Couple "KaiSeph" (Kookai and Seph)
