- Catharsis Factor: If you level-grind enough to beat the Baker, Lavender proceeds to whack the tar out of him for betraying her and endangering Timmy's soul, defying Once is Not Enough. Grimm's arrival is the only reason she doesn't continue.
- Fridge Horror: Lavender quickly accepts that she's dead after seeing Timmy's ghost. Grimm still doesn't know about Timmy, and he's concerned at how fast she's moved on. We move on quickly from this mention, but Grimm implies a worrisome human behavior.
- Heartwarming Moments:
- It gets ruined later on, but when Lavender sees the Baker's decaying face, her response is to say she likes it Just the Way You Are.
- In both the Good and the Best Ending, Grimm said he wouldn't have reaped Timmy knowing the boy's soul was still out there. He also gives the duo some tea and pastries after their long-fought battle.
- Even the Worst ending has one. Grimm takes over baking when the Baker steals Timmy's soul, and starts taking care of Lavender, knowing it's his fault that she is now a Broken Bird.
- Moral Event Horizon: The Baker crosses this by knocking out Lavender and stealing Timmy's soul. As he puts it, he doesn't care that Lavender was trying to restore her little brother to life; he wants to go back to the land of the living regardless of who pays for it.
