• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: As noted by many reviewers, the entire first half of the series seems to build up the plot of an harem series with the protagonist seemingly divided between Kiriko, Chiharu and Hyogo, each having an episode dedicated to them and a spotlight in which, together with Keiichiro, they manage to ride the Susano'o. This possible subplot is thrown out of the window halfway through as Kiriko, of the three, becomes the main love interest and Damsel in Distress to be rescued, making the development of the other two somehow moot.
