• Hilarious in Hindsight: During the end credits, Robot Santa addresses the audience to warn them he'll be back next Xmas. "A Tale of Two Santas" was supposed to air the following year but didn't air until two years after this episode due to the network objecting to its violent content.
• Informed Wrongness: Fry is painted as selfish for being oblivious to Leela's anguish for being alone on Xmas. In Fry's defense, Leela wasn't exactly vocal about her personal troubles, and this was Fry's first Xmas in the future without his family.
