While he did in fact drink the beer and offer her some, he never pressured her after she said no. He also had no part in framing her, the reason he didn't back her up until the end was because Sam sprayed beer on DJ, Kevin went to get paper towels to help DJ clean up, and wasn't told DJ got blamed until the end.
• Harsher in Hindsight: Uncle Jesse's harsh treatment of DJ and anti-alcohol mentality (not anti-underage drinking, anti-alcohol) become a lot more understandable five seasons later when it's revealed the accident that caused Pam's death resulted from a drunk driver.
• She Really Can Act: Candace Cameron Bure puts on a pretty impressive performance when she's upset that she was falsely accused of something she didn't do.
