  • When Antleo attacks Rarity, he conjures a sandpit to try and drown her in. As one commenter points out, this is how ant lions kill their prey, but only immature ones. Which rather fits, given how impulsive Antleo is in attacking Rarity, even when he's been ordered to lay low — he's immature, and incapable to thinking things through fully.
  • Bellosto being so big and strong, since the water beetle he's based on is so big and dangerous.
• Moral Event Horizon: Sunset Shimmer crossed it in her backstory when she sacrificed her own mother in order to gain immortality; this is the act that cemented her Face–Heel Turn and got her banished from Sun Island.
