• Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: In order to distract the 44forum and help Mildred save the others, LaDonna conjures up an illusion of a giant iguana dancing to Dua Lipa's "Levitating". The iguana thing has some explanation as it's a common insult/conspiracy theory against the 4400, but everything else was just bizarre and the episode continues on as if it didn't happen. The writers had fun with it, at least.

• Diagnosed by the Audience: It is indicated that Hayden has an autism spectrum disorder, though it hasn't been stated. From his flashback episode in the 1930s, he was having issues looking at people in their eyes, socializing, and eating foods with certain textures. Some situations have to be explained to him very carefully, or he won't understand them. It's also stated he was placed in a sanitarium for his condition, which left him subjected to trauma. In the present, he's withdrawn and shy and hyperfixated on saving Mildred from the hospital she was taken to.

• LGBT Fanbase: With at least three explicitly queer women, another who admits to having a crush on another girl and two trans men in the main cast, the show is very popular with LGBT viewers.
• One-Scene Wonder: "If You Love Something" gives us Ruth Turner, Hayden's loving, supportive mother who fully understands that her son isn't like other boys and, rather than trying to force him to change, helps him develop strategies to cope with his challenges.
