• Crosses the Line Twice:
  • Peter asking his friends (two of whom are a crippled and black) if they'd rather be black or crippled.
  • Brian stepped in and took care of the family after Peter's "death" and fell for Lois only for her to choose Peter over him. When he admits that he has to get over his heartbreak and betrayal by going to his bunk, the family laughs at him.
• Harsher in Hindsight: When Peter is presumed dead, Brian looks after Lois and the rest of the family, but he keeps asking Lois for sex and she keeps refusing. Two seasons later, Brian would take Peter's place on a vacation while the latter is off by himself, and Brian would end up forcing himself on Lois, resulting in her sending him away, and Peter and Brian having a massive fight when the truth comes out.
