• The Woobie:
  • Meg is kidnapped five minutes into her trip and eventually sold as a sex slave. What makes this scary situation also sad is that Meg was actually bought to be a bride for a kind prince, who wants to marry her (as in she gets an opportunity to leave her abusive family forever). She happily says yes to him right before the prince is killed, and while it’s likely she only remembers the prince that isn’t certain, either way she really needs a hug.
  • At least Meg had people coming to save her. Poor Ruth didn't have anybody to help her, and by the end, her tongue was ripped out...Though she is able to speak just fine in future appearances. Also unlike Meg, Ruth likely has to remember everything that happened to her.
