• Harsher in Hindsight: In the story, violence broke out after Donald Trump lost the 2020 presidential election and right-wing supporters of the losing presidential candidate, spurred on by false claims of fraud, attack the US Capitol seeking to ensure their preferred candidate ends up assuming office as president. The timeline was written before the January 6, 2021 attack on the US Capitol happened (which admittedly proved not as horrific as the events depicted in Face the Storm and fortunately failed in achieving its objectives, unlike the in-universe attack on the Capitol).
