YMMV / FNF Lord X Wrath

Go To

  • Nightmare Fuel: Due to its status as a Darker and Edgier take on Vs Sonic.exe, the whole mod is positively dripping with nightmares.
    • First of all is the first song, Weakling; after Lord X sends Boyfriend into a dark chasm, he awakens standing on a lake of blood. Lord X is done with the Affably Evil facade; he starts the song by attacking Boyfriend with his true form's clawed hands, and if you don't hit the barrage of damage notes, you'll die before you even get a chance to fight back.
    • The second song, simply titled X, features an oxygen mechanic due to taking place underwater; you constantly lose oxygen(and lose it faster while singing). If you don't hit the rare oxygen bubble notes, you will lose. And towards the end of the song, they start appearing amidst clumps of notes, making it hard to see them. Oh, and like Weakling, you have to survive a barrage of damage notes before you can even begin to fight back, all while your oxygen is slowly draining. Have fun!
    • The final song in the main week, Slaves, is this mod's version of Triple Trouble, and oh boy is it a doozy. Trading TT's raw intensity for a creepy and disturbing track, it also shows us Lord X's versions of Tails, Knuckles and Eggman, and to put it simply, they did not die painlessly. Tails' skin was ripped off and stitched back on, Knuckles was impaled and forcibly turned into a marionette, and Eggman merely looks zombified, leaving what exactly Lord X did to him completely ambiguous.
      • The "Round 2" version of the song planned for an update brings Amy.EXE, Alice and Sally.EXE into the equation, and with it, turning Slaves into a full-blown Marathon Level. It culminates in the slaves uniting to take a stand against Lord X, but considering the being's strength, it's clear that this is most likely futile.
  • Scrappy Mechanic: Slaves' mechanic, in contrast to the tension-spiking twists from the previous two songs, is simply to mash space 5 times in rapid succession whenever hands grab you from below. This has drawn some ire due to it feeling less creative than the previous two, and is more annoying than stressful.
