YMMV / Dinosaur Adventure 3 D

Go To

  • Designated Villain: The T. rex is never actually shown doing anything wrong. He can't be evil for being a carnivore, as pretty much every other carnivore in the game is treated as a regular animal. This can make his ultimate fate of losing all his teeth and being stuck as a living bridge feel like Karmic Overkill.
  • Nightmare Fuel:
    • The Velociraptor movie, where a pack of them overwhelms and kills a Carnotaurus onscreen.
    • The Cynognathus movie, which ends with it leaping at the camera jaws-first.
    • Sometimes if you hang around in an area for a while, the T. rex will make himself heard and shake the screen. If you don't listen to Rolf and get out of there in time, you will be treated to a small movie where the T. rex arrives and pounces at the camera.
  • Viewer Gender Confusion: Rolf's androgynous voice, equally androgynous design and the fact that the game itself never refers to him with gendered language or even any pronouns make it easy for players to get confused about his gender. While the name "Rolf" is traditionally masculine, it wouldn't be too unreasonable to assume the character is a girl with a Gender-Blender Name. The blurb on the box clears up the confusion, as it uses he/him pronouns to refer to Rolf.
