YMMV / Dysnomia

Go To

  • Game-Breaker:
    • Linavalgur Type-A + Burst Mode = "I WIN" in most cases in single player due to the sheer amount of damage her primary attack does, her great mobility compared to most of the other characters, and Burst Mode beefing her damage output even more.
    • Meryl.Y.T, specifically Type-A and B version, carry very hard-hitting weapons. Her Type-A version uses a very power Wave-Motion Gun capable of dishing out massive damage and easily incapacitates her opponents with dual Gatling guns that can chew out most weaker enemies, while her Type-B version have powerful homing missiles and devastating mini-nuke with a pair of shotguns that can put down enemies attempting to fight her at close range. Type-C, while a Glass Cannon, can be just as dangerous to content with thanks to high-powered rocket punch and melee attacks, along with the ability to heal herself by tossing out riceballs.
    • Dysnomia Type-C, who was locked away as an (annoying hard) unlockable for a reason: her attacks are very over-powered, rivaling that of Linavulgar Type-A. Although this variant of Dysnomia is a glass cannon, but unlike Linavulgar, Dysnoma has access to a deadly Thunderstorm attack that summons electrical tornadoes that can shred through her opponents with ease, a scythe beam attack with partial homing capabilities, and powerful scythe lunge attack that clears large distances with ease. Even the game's developers warn players they should have second thoughts about using Dysnomia Type-C in multiplayer from how powerful she is compared to the other characters.
  • That One Sidequest: Unlocking Dysnomia Type-C, which requires first unlocking the other characters from the Arcade Mode (Valstar, Dysnomia, and Gloriana), then having to play through the game's Story Mode and get the true ending with the six playable characters, a task that is easier said than done thanks to the game's cheap A.I. opponents, unwillingness to give you extra lives when you need them, lack of direction to even get the true ending route for Story Mode, and said mode must be cleared in a 1 Credit Clear for it to count. Thankfully you can save scum to make unlocking Dysnomia Type-C less tedious to get through unless you can find someone with a save file with all the characters unlocked already.
