• That One Sidequest: Previous versions of the game featured two separate quests that each called for gathering 100 hardwood, a somewhat rarer resource that is also required for repairing the pickaxe tool. This was made worse by the fact that many players triggered the quests at the same time and found themselves staring down a combined 200 hardwood requirement before they could advance those characters’ questlines. Enough complaints emerged on the subreddit and discord that the developers eventually nerfed each quest’s requirements down to 50 hardwood and added extra Loading Screen tips urging players to plant plenty of trees and bushes to enhance their resource gathering.
