- Base-Breaking Character: A soft example with a part of the new characters being expies of characters from Blood Covered (such as Chiyomi being a Seiko Expy). Some are fine with it, others wish that they simply had fleshed out more the original characters or not having killed them.
- Tainted by the Preview: It's the direct sequel to the contested sequel Corpse Party Blood Drive, so not everybody's optimistic.
