• That One Boss: Two of the boss fights in this game sure are something else, huh?
  • The Strongest Dark Soldier Yamin. The concept itself is simple—rub the Bottle Gourd housing Yamihyo and he will rush at Yamin, and you have to knock Yamin to the other end before he can knock Yamihyo over. However, while Yamihyo is very weak and tends to only push Yamin little by little, Yamin is capable of punching Yamihyo, sending him way back. The result is a very, very straining mashing of your mouse, to the point where most people will simply use an autoclicker instead of trying to fight him legit. The one mercy is, unlike Chi-tou or Ru-hou, there's no Game Over for losing, and he merely kicks you back to the previous floor of the Five Story Pagoda..
  • The Moon of Darkness Ru-hou. On paper, his fight is a game of whack-a-mole, but the dude moves way too fast and is very easy to miss as a result. He'll also counter-attack you, so you have an exceptionally finite amount of time to beat him before he beats you, and gives you a Game Over. It got to the point that, in the Fan Translation Patch, he was actually nerfed and moves much slower, making it realistically possible to actually react in time.
