• Catharsis Factor: After reading about how horrible the living conditions for imprisoned waterbenders are, Hama breaking into the prison and slamming several guards around (especially the one that tortured Katara not too long ago) feels great.
• Nightmare Fuel: How the waterbender prison is described, the kicker being is that it's described from Katara's point-of-view.
• Tear Jerker: Remember Hama's backstory in canon? Imagine a universe where Katara has to endure that sort of imprisonment. It really is a miracle that she didn't lose her moral compass, unlike Hama.
