• Harsher in Hindsight:
  • The end of this episode has BoJack twisting Diane's advice as Society Is to Blame, and shouting "Hooray! Everything is meaningless! Nothing I do has consequence!" That doesn't even begin to describe how utterly wrong he is, as the rest of the series will go on to prove.
  • At one point, Sarah-Lynn says "So I'll just surround myself with sycophants and enablers until I die tragically young." Little does Sarah Lynn know that the man she's addressing would wind up turning the enabling up to eleven later on and even commit her Murder by Inaction.
• Squick: BoJack and Sarah-Lynn having sex: BoJack was partially her father figure when she was little, and she was like her kid to him. Thankfully, they realized how bad this was and they've remained having a father-daughter relationship.
