• Germans Love David Hasselhoff: The series became a surprise hit in France, allegedly selling more copies there than in Japan where it went mostly unnoticed. Tsuyoshi Takaki was then invited to host a panel at Japan Expo (the biggest manga convention in France), the 5 volumes re-released in a Boxed Set, and his next series Heart Gear was heavily promoted in France and released alongside a Limited Edition containing Freaks, one of his one-shots.
