• Hilarious in Hindsight: When introducing Spinosaurus, one of the first things the Talking Heads say is that the big sail doesn't make sense because it makes the animal heavier. After the 2014 discovery that Spinosaurus was a short-legged, pelicanesque biped that spent most of its life in water, it turns out this might be the exact reason why the mystery big sail existed. By making the animal heavier, it helped the Spinosaurus dive faster. Same reason it had dense bones unlike most dinosaurs.
• Special Effect Failure: The CGI is rather unimpressive, especially when compared to National Geographic's Dinosaurs Decoded, which aired the same day as this documentary.
