• Author Filibuster: Given that American Dad was created out of frustration from George W. Bush winning re-election in 2004, it's not surprising the show would praise his Democrat successor, Barack Obama. This episode goes into high gear, with Stan ostensibly getting the idea to try to humiliate the President from the praise he receives from a blind South American man. It's more an excuse for the writers to praise 44 for among other things, no longer making the United States an "embarrassment" on the world scale. Obama and his family are portrayed as glowingly as possible when they appear, with the POTUS himself having the body of an Adonis when he appears in his swim trunks.
