• Jerkass Woobie: Karkat, Eridan, Vriska (though this version of her is definitely more Jerkass than Woobie), and Snowman.
• Nightmare Fuel: The Ringmaster, especially after he starts to have his Villainous Breakdown.
  • Sollux's Sadistic Choice in the sequel. Made worse by how realistically his reaction is portrayed, and how much it tears him up.
• Tear Jerker: The beginning of "Christmas Miracles", with a homeless Karkat and Gamzee starving and near their psychological breaking points.
• The Woobie: Everyone except the main villains.
