  • Catharsis Factor: Phazon Mario and Rozen's defeats at the hands of Mario are extremely satisfying after everything they've done.
  • Growing the Beard: While the end of Corruption was already seen as improvement, Dark Omen is really where the series started getting good with its higher stakes, improved story and better editing, all of which continued to improve over time.
  • Moral Event Horizon: Rozen crosses it in the past by attacking and killing innocent people in his quest for power.
  • Once Original, Now Common: In a similar vein to the original Wrath of the Ice God by Nikkonolasco, ACDC was one of the first SM64 machinimists to insert more drama into the bloopers' stories. Predating the better-known forays into drama by MarioMario54321 and especially SMG4, it can be hard to appreciate just how impactful ACDC's trilogy was on the Super Mario 64 Bloopers genre nowadays.
  • Unexpected Character:
    • Bowser appearing in Dark Omen episode 4, having stolen Xane, the Sage of Justice, for himself, as he hadn't been mentioned or seen at all until this point.
    • Solid Snake appearing at the end of Atonement episode 2, as the Metal Gear universe hadn't been acknowledged at all until then.
  • Unintentional Period Piece: Like many bloopers series from the late 2000s, the trilogy uses a bit of lingo and memes that were popular around that time ("owned", WTF Boom, etc.).
