Wham Episode in Disventure Camp.
Season 1
- Episode 5 is a gut punch in many ways.
- We learn that Jake lost his grandmother during his phone call home. We also learn that the reason Miriam has a fear of cheesecake is due to her losing her husband and son to a drunk driver while she planned to make one for her husband. Ouch.
- The twist of the episode is that the winning team is able to select a representative to boot someone of their choice from the losing team. Gabby volunteers, wanting to protect Ellie and get back at Purple for kicking her off their team in Episode 1.
- Ellie ends up the swing vote, dictating whether Fiore or one of Ashley or Lill go home. She ultimately ends up voting out Lill and having Gabby vote out Ashley. Showing a bit of corruption as she talks about how she could use someone like Fiore against the Teal team members once the merge hits.
- Episode 6:
- The episode features second double elimination in a row. It's also the only pre-merge episode to feature a fight for individual immunity per team.
- Tom and Jake have an argument and become enemies.
- Gabby has enough of the way Grett has been treating her, pulls off Backstabbing the Alpha Bitch by winning immunity for herself, and agrees to Miriam's offer to vote out Grett with Dan's help.
- Per above, Grett, one of two Big Bads of both the original and the remake, is successfully eliminated halfway through.
- Speaking of Demoted to Extra, Ellie, one of the finalists of the original Adventure Camp, is also eliminated halfway through the remake.
- Two moments at the very end of the episode leave a lot of speculation as to what will happen in the future when Oliver approaches Ellie and Grett with a note after they're both eliminated, and Jensen uploads Jake and Tom's fight that reveals Tom is a spy online.
- Episode 7:
- It turns out that the double elimination from the last episode was just a repeated scenario from Episode 1 of two "eliminated" contestants switching teams.
- Episode 10:
- Ellie, fearing she'll be at the bottom once Fiore and Alec are eliminated, is tricked by the duo into lying to Jake that Tom is cheating on him, using his trauma with his ex against him. Fiore throws Ellie under the bus to everyone at the elimination ceremony, making Tom, Jake, and Miriam all upset with Ellie.
- Tom finds an immunity totem, and is caught by Ellie in the process. While Ellie tries to set up a Tom vote, Alec tells her to instead vote off Jake. Fiore, while revealing Ellie's lie, reveals Tom's totem to the group as well, and lies to Tom that Jake will be voted out unless Tom plays the totem on Jake. Tom, reluctant, does so, only for it to be revealed that Jake only received one vote, while Tom received three, eliminating him.
- Tom, betrayed and heartbroken that Jake voted him out and believed other people's lies and didn't communicate with him, breaks up with Jake on his way out.
- Tom runs into Gabby by the elimination bus stop, where she tells him there's something he needs to see. Building upon The Stinger from the past two episodes.
- Episode 12:
- Fiore betrays Alec, choosing Ellie to go to the finale over him, making this the first time ever that the final three consists entirely of female contestants.
Season 2:
- Oh boy is Episode 8 this:
- Rosa Maria reveals to Riya and Lake that she has the immunity totem.
- Karol returns to the competition, wins immunity, and due to Nina's manipulation, spares Hunter and Ally from elimination. She also has not forgotten what James and Aiden did to her earlier in the season.
- Lake is eliminated. Riya, knowing Lake is being targeted, ultimately decides to not warn Rosa Maria to keep her from using her immunity totem on Lake. Riya quickly regrets this and is shown to be racked with guilt.
- Episode 10 also hits us with a lot. Riya goes through a Face–Heel Turn and frames her best friend, Rosa Maria, for stealing James' phone and her own perfume, as well as steals her immunity totem. Rosa is unable to save herself and is eliminated. Many thought Rosa would be a finalist due to her Nice Girl and Team Mom personality.
- Episode 11. Where to start?
- Hunter's Plot Armor disappears, and he finally loses a challenge to Aiden, causing him to lose him immunity and be eliminated from the competition.
- Riya exposes James for using his relationship with Aiden as a ploy to get more followers. As it turns out, James did take advantage of Aiden in the beginning but has since warmed up to him. Aiden doesn't believe this due to the times that James tricked him in the past, and their relationship is strained.
- Aiden officially comes out as trans to James.
- Riya uses the immunity totem she stole from Rosa Maria, saving her from what would have been her elimination.
- The final 3 is revealed to be Aiden, James, and Riya.
