Seluda is a Webcomic by Cooks. The story begins with David, a freshman starting high school in 1990s who suffers from a mysterious condition of otherwordly origin. He meets Karen, a sophomore repeating history class for the semester. Her involvement becomes a catalyst for David's solitary world.

- Coming of Age Story: The story deals with David growing up and facing his own mental issues, sexuality, loneliness and the expectations of his relatives.
- Love Interest: Delilah is this for David, although only on his part.
- Manic Pixie Dream Girl: Played with in Karen. She certainly acts like it, but she makes clear she has no romantic interest in David, and neither has he for her. It's also explained that Karen generally acts this way with any kid who seems to be troubled, like David was.
- Maybe Magic, Maybe Mundane: David's dreams and hallucinations. You would think they are just that... Until Delilah seems to experience a sort of connection to him at the same time.
- Mind Screw: The hallucinations David experiences, including his hair bleeding when his mom tries to cut it. There is also the odd dream during the first chapters.
- You Need to Get Laid: Not quite the same, but Jason handles David porn magazines figuring masturbating would help him losen up. David finds it amusing -since he already does it-, but obligues.
