Graham's ex-wife and daughter are part of the Family overseeing one of the sites.
  • At least one of the known sites is in Canada, and Graham is Russian-Canadian (he specifically mentions living in Halifax).
  • His relationship with them is stated to be very strained, with Dragana being barred from seeing Irina despite being her godmother—part of the Family's way of operating seems to be getting the fathers of any daughters born into it out of the picture in one way or another.
  • This could be connected to why he was able to escape from the Svalbard site the first time, although it still has enough of a hold on him that he had to return.

Hulda Rúnasdóttir is making some sort of power play, and it's due to the fact that she has twins.
  • Early on, Jonas mentions that he and his wife have twin daughters. Later on, it's revealed that his wife, Hulda Rúnasdóttir, is the CEO of Sidja group and the head of the Family that maintains the Svalbard site.
  • The Family's genetic traits and custodianship of the sites is passed down from mother to daughter.
  • Early in Season 5, Mor discusses an incident where a Family was wiped out and one of the other Families produced a set of twins, one of whom took over the vacated site.
  • So far, Hulda seems to have been meddling with her own site in a way that seems to be attempting to discredit Mor's Family (particularly the Documentarian, who is now heir to Mor's site), most notably by sending Amelia to Svalbard with an artifact.
  • Most likely, she is trying to get the Documentarian either killed to keep the sites a secret or deemed unfit to take custodianship of Mor's site (which would likely have the former result anyway) so one of her daughters can eventually take it over.
  • Assuming the above WMG is accurate, she also would have attempted to feed a man who married into another Family to her site, although the motivation for that is less clear.
