Even if the universe is saved, history is doomed to repeat itself infinitely.
The shockwave of anti-time (the Timeshock) was created from the shattered crystal, which travels all the way back to the Dawn of Time and threatens to destroy the entire universe. There's no way of knowing whether or not the Counter-shockwave, which may nullify the first one, will nullify all shockwaves of anti-time going forward, up until the moment after the crystal is shattered.
