Virgil S. Horne is a demonic time lord.
Has many appearances, one instance shows a telephone booth, has control over time and space... Yeah, there's some qualifications.
The World's ugliest Man is actually Buddybob.
Due to his forgetting and trying to fix wrongs, this might be Buddybob in the future. Adding more to the time scheme he broke.
  • This one has practically been confirmed in both Lonely Bones and the website Bestiary.
Virgil and Buddybob turn out to be the same person
This is hinted at in "Space" when Buddybob and Virgil have their conversation through the mirror, showing one to be a reflection of the other. Given further credence in "Hotel" in which we can clearly see Virgil's eye through the whole in Buddybobs head just as he enters the room, and provocatively suggested in "Evil Wicked Whale" where it turns out that, where Virgil once was upon his whale, now rides Buddybob, with no explanation to this change. Additional to note is that both Budybob and Virgil are missing an eye, one in the left and the other, the right, suggesting further that one is a mirror image of the other.
  • If this is the case, then Virgil, the Langemanne, and Buddybob are a representation of the Freudian Trio. Virgil being the Id, Langemanne as the Superego, and Buddybob the ego. Perhaps that all three forces are trying to separate yet keep order.
    • Looking at the way that Rosto describes the Langemanne as free, frolicking tricksters who like to cause havoc; compared to how he describes Virgil, a cool and calculating perfectionist who is obsessed keeping tabs on everything at once. The Langemanne may very well be the Id in this analogy, and Virgil the superego.
The world of Monster Of Nix might be inside Virgil's Whale.

The fountain in Lonely Bones is the same one from Monster Of Nix.
