Call Of the Haunted
- Noah Kaiba will be revealed as the online user thefuturelaughsfromtheceiling who's been helping Yuugi with his inventions. Even though he's confirmed to be dead in the real world, it's always possible that he uploaded himself into cyberspace to keep himself alive. And now he masqueraded as the chess player to help Yuugi get close to Seto which in turn can allow Noah to stay close to his father's company. Also, he had a habit of laughing from the skies during the Virtual World Arc in the anime.
I'm about to be so much more than just a villain of the week
- Madara is going to become a greater antagonist in the long-run. Even though he's only been set up as an annoying classmate, Jounouchi kissing him and not returning his affections will turn him into a greater threat even after middle school. Not to mention that his name sounds alot like "murderer" when pronounced right.
Who's ever ready to do the burying?
- Sugoroku will be kidnapped by the Climax Boss of Book 2. It'll be a decent reference to Duelist Kingdom Arc with Grandpa having been kidnapped by a villain to force Yuugi to act. And with the grandfather and grandson still not talking about the ongoing family drama involving Yuugi's dad, it'll give them more incentive to reunite and actually have that talk. And additionally, thanks to Yuugi earning a favor from the Yuuki Clan, he'll have no choice but to use it to save his grandpa.
Doppelganger
- Yami Bakura will be created as an experiment made by Dr. Aknadin or Ryou himself. To better understand how Yami works in relation to the tainted vaccine and Yuugi's Mindscape Quirk, the twisted doctor would use his assistant as a guinea big to create a similar other self to study his capabilities. Though combined with Ryou's Lovecraftian Superpower Quirk, it would create a bloodthirsty and uncontrollable entity in the form of Yami Bakura.
Aren't you a little overqualified to be attending high school?
- Seto Kaiba is going to reveal in the last minute that he'll be attending Yuuei alongside Yuugi and his friends. Seto's entrance is mainly a formality to get his high school academia out of the way mixed with his unconscious decision in keeping an eye on Yuugi to make sure he doesn't get into trouble. This in turn will force him to put up with his lifelong pals Izuku and Jounouchi since they never formally met each other.
- Seto is in fact a student at Yuuei. He's not happy about it, but it was a compromise with the Kaiba Corp Board after the ousting of the Big 5. As Yuugi learns this, he also discovers at Seto and Izuku have met with one another before.
More than just a pretty face
- Midnight will act as another mentor figure for Jounouchi when he enters Yuuei. Along with having already been acquainted with each other in the past and the blonde being sponsored by her Aunt Netsuko, this will give the 18+ Hero more incentive to be involved in Jounouchi's development. She can even give him pointers using her own experiences over how people perceive and treat her because of her gender and image.
Imperial Order
- All For One is going to take an interest in Yuugi and personally meet him. Most likely because of how involved he's been with various villains (Stain, Wolfram, the Eight Precepts etc.) Seeing him either as a threat or a potential pawn, the Emperor of Darkness will order for the boy to be brought to him so they can have a one-to-one chat.
Take a little trip into our future with me
- Either in the last Book or chapter(s) of the series, there will be a Time Skip that shows Yuugi and friends as adults. The author mentions that Rivalshipping will be featured as a very long slow burn mixed with being a distant endgame. So by that logic, mixed with how both boys are with intimacy, they won't realize their true feelings until adulthood. That and seeing Yuugi and Seto complete their dream of creating a space elevator along with having Izuku and Jounouchi accomplish their dreams after Yuuei will be nice to touch upon.
