The homeless man who apparently knew about Robert Jekyll and Tenebrae was an ex-MIO officer.
- Perhaps he betrayed MIO somehow, or accidentally leaked information, so Bulstrode - or whoever the head at that time was - subjected him to the woman with the upside-down face, who will "destroy your mind", as Mr. Sackler is told.
The appearance of Hyde becomes less and less distinct from Jekyll with each generation.
- The original Edward Hyde looked nothing like Dr. Jekyll, but Louis Hyde (seen briefly during a flashback) appeared to be normal aside from prominently reddened veins around his eyes, and Robert's Hyde is practically identical to his Jekyll, only gaining reddened veins and glowing eyes during transformation, and not afterwards.
- Also, Renata Jezequiel, a distant relative of the Jekyll bloodline, could transform entirely into a large black dog, but her son Brant could only achieve a humanoid wolf-man look.
Robert suffered from PTSD or something similar during his childhood
- To explain how Robert remembers nothing from his childhood, since he believed he was left with the Najarans in Sri Lanka as a baby, some have theorised that Robert may've intentionally repressed those memories due to a traumatising incident.
- The serum given to him by Captain Dance in the 1.10 flashback appeared to distort his memory, which could explain forgetting or distorting everything prior to that moment, as appeared to happen to young Olalla, but the flashback took place in 1913, and Louis Hyde didn't meet Vishal Najaran until World War I, and presumably left Robert with him after the war's end, which still leaves several years of Robert's life that he cannot remember.
