The town of Charlatan
Is actually a failed Praxis site, and whatever time dilation is affecting Praxis sites is causing the town to loop through a disaster. The town of Charlatan
Is a town that a god tried to protect from the nuclear war of 1983 ala Night Vale, but pulled the town out of time too late.- Alternatively, Charlatan is another Night Vale.
