The Catacomb is the second game in the Catacomb series by iD Software. It uses the same game engine as the first game, hence shares some tropes with it, but the levels have been redesigned and there are now 30 of them instead of 10.
This Video Game contains examples of:
- Foreshadowing: Level 12 is "The Tomb of Desparil". The name Desparil would be used again (as D'Sparil) in Heretic.
- Hub Level: Level 10 has exits to levels 13, 11, 16 and 17, although the last three lead only back to level 10.
