Trivia / The Simpsons S12 E9 "HOMЯ"

• Recycled Script: The basic plot outline of this episode (Homer is able to become much smarter, which pleases Lisa but alienates him from everyone else and makes him unhappy, ultimately leading to him reversing it) is very similar to the comic book story "They Fixed Homer's Brain", with the main difference being that instead of getting a crayon removed from his brain, Homer instead takes on an experimental treatment from Professor Frink. Lisa also is ultimately the one that encourages him to reverse the treatment, as opposed to her finding out after the fact.
