- Recycled Script: This is actually the second time Tex Avery has made a cartoon that parodied "The Shooting of Dan McGrew", with the first being a 1939 Looney Tunes cartoon titled "Dangerous Dan McFoo". While it has the same setting and parodies the same story, the characters and gags are completely different.
