• Actor-Inspired Element: Arch Hall, Jr. based his performance on Tommy Udo from Kiss of Death, right down to the giggle.
• The Cast Show Off: When problems arose with some of the blank ammo for Charlie’s gun, Hall (a sharpshooter) suggested that he fire live ammo above the heads of the other actors. Many of the shots seen in the final film were done with live rounds.
• Cast the Expert: The two motorcycle cops who stop into the junkyard were played by actual off-duty Los Angeles policemen. They owned their own bikes and did films, funerals, VIP escorts and the like for extra cash.
