Trivia / The Prisoner E15 "The Girl Who Was Death"

Go To

  • Recycled Script: The episode was adapted from an unused Danger Man script, which is why it feels so much like a Danger Man episode, at least at first. This fact is also used as ammunition by those who believe No. 6 and John Drake are the same character.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • Fantasy-like as this episode appears to be, it was originally planned for the aborted fourth series of Danger Man, suggesting that series might have been planning to move towards The Avengers in tone.
    • The mad Professor Schnipps was initially intended to dress as and believe himself to be Adolf Hitler, but it was decided that Napoleon Bonaparte would be more tasteful, given this episode was only two decades removed from World War II.
    • This was originally conceived as a Two-Part Episode. A psychedelic piece with the hero in a maze was one of the sequences that never got filmed. This was envisaged for the movie or two part version. Lew Grade said a long version would never sell.
