• Creator Backlash: Craig McCracken has admitted to not liking the ending where Rainbow the Clown is beaten up by the girls and thrown in jail despite not being in control of his actions as Mr. Mime. He states that he wouldn't do that kind of ending today.
• Non-Singing Voice: In the Italian dub of the episode, Blossom's voice actress Monica Ward voices all three the girls while singing "Love Makes The World Go Round".
• Pop-Culture Urban Legends: An oft-repeated rumor is that, in "Mime for a Change", Craig McCracken wanted Rainbow to be forgiven for the situation being out of his control, but Cartoon Network execs changed the ending so that he would be punished instead. However, McCracken would debunk this rumor on his Twitter.
