- Actor-Shared Background: All the actors in the TV series are Neapolitan like their characters. Averted with the upcoming season 4, as we already know the new actors of the three protagonists (Elena, Lila, and Nino), and only Lila's actress is from Naples.
- Dawson Casting: Some secondary actors in the HBO series are older than their characters. For example, Antonio is supposed to be 19/20 years old at most in season 1, while being played by a 30-year-old actor.
- The Other Darrin: In the TV series, all the characters (except the parents and other adults) had different Time Shifted Actors. The younger characters were all played by children in the first two episodes of season 1 (about their childhood years), and by other actors from the third episode onwards. In Season 4, which is also the last season, there will be another different cast playing the protagonists as adults.
