- Romance on the Set: Angelique Boyer and Sebastian Rulli, who starred opposite of each other as Teresa and Arturo, actually did fall in love in real life, but that wasn't until they were both cast in Lo que la vida me robó in 2015.
- Star-Making Role: For both Angelique Boyer and Salma Hayek. though the former had prior roles before being cast, Teresa was Angelique's breakout role as a leading lady, and she's continued to star in various telenovelas for Televisa ever since, Salma actually left Mexico after her role in the 1989 novela to pursue a career in Hollywood instead.
